Arfiti for ChatGPT

ChatGPT knows accounting.
Arfiti gives it your books.

Connect ChatGPT to Arfiti as a custom MCP connection and it works with your live financial records, under the roles, entity scope and approval rules your company already has. Ask about a balance, inspect the evidence behind it and prepare the next action, without pasting exports into the chat.

Arfiti is an independent company and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI. Custom connections depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.

After your invitation, add Arfiti as a custom connection.

Arfiti is an MCP server. In ChatGPT you add it as a custom connection: paste the company connector URL from your Arfiti setup, choose OAuth and sign in with your Arfiti account. The URL carries the company, the sign-in carries you, so every request in the chat runs with the role and entity access you already have in Arfiti. Nothing is configured inside the conversation, and nothing is shared through it.

Ask about the records, not an export.

With the connection selected, ChatGPT answers from your postings: a trial balance, what sits behind an account balance, which bills fall due this week, how spend compares with plan. The numbers come from the same records your accountant closes on, limited to the entities you may see. Start with a read-only question and confirm the company in the answer before you go further.

Prepare the action. Your controls decide.

Ask for a draft bill, a reconciliation review or a period-end checklist, state the policy that applies, and ChatGPT prepares it from the records. A submission goes through the same workflow definition a person would use, so the risk lane, the approver and the audit row belong to your organisation, not to the assistant. ChatGPT’s own confirmation settings apply on top. Low-risk work runs through; anything unusual waits for the reviewer your policy names.

What repeats runs without the chat.

Work that arrives on a cadence does not need a person in the conversation. Arfiti agents run inside Arfiti, on a schedule or when something arrives: an emailed bill, a bank line, a billing date. They use the same tools, the same workflow lanes and the same ledger as your ChatGPT session, and each run is a session you can open. What an agent cannot resolve becomes a task for the right person, and you can review and answer it through the same connection.

What is the same, and what differs.

ChatGPT and Claude connect to the same organisation, records and controls. The differences are in the assistant, not in Arfiti.

Same

Tools, permissions, entity scope, workflow lanes, approvals and the audit trail. Each person signs in with their own Arfiti account, whichever assistant they use.

Procedures

Arfiti plugins and skills are packaged for Claude. In ChatGPT you describe the procedure in the conversation or in your own instructions; the controls underneath do not change.

Availability

Custom MCP connections depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings. If they are not available, ask your workspace administrator or connect through Claude.

Beside your ERP, or as the ERP.

ChatGPT and the agents work the same way in each mode. What changes is which system keeps the ledger.

Bridge

Evaluate a workflow alongside your existing ERP. Agree connector coverage and the system of record before relying on an integration.

Parallel

Move selected workflows to Arfiti. Run chosen processes through Arfiti while reconciling the controlled result with the existing environment.

Native

Run finance on Arfiti. Arfiti is the financial system, the operational layer and the ledger; the dashboard is for configuration and review.

Questions finance teams ask

Is Arfiti part of OpenAI?

No. Arfiti is an independent company. ChatGPT connects to Arfiti through the Model Context Protocol, the open standard ChatGPT uses for custom connections.

Which ChatGPT accounts can connect?

Custom MCP connections depend on your ChatGPT plan and your workspace’s settings. If the option is not available to you, ask your workspace administrator, or connect through Claude instead. OpenAI’s own guide describes the current requirements.

Does ChatGPT post directly to the ledger?

No. ChatGPT submits a proposal through the same workflow gateway a person uses. The workflow’s risk lane decides whether it executes immediately or waits for an approver, and the database refuses anything unbalanced, dated into a closed period, or rewriting posted history.

What does ChatGPT receive from Arfiti?

The records your requests return, limited to the entities your Arfiti role may see. How that data is handled afterwards is governed by your ChatGPT workspace’s data settings, so review them before connecting.

Can our team use both Claude and ChatGPT?

Yes. Both connect to the same organisation, the same records and the same controls. Each person signs in with their own Arfiti account, so permissions follow the person, not the assistant.

Do Arfiti plugins and skills work in ChatGPT?

Arfiti plugins are packaged for Claude. In ChatGPT you describe the procedure in the conversation or in your own instructions; the tools, the workflow lanes and the audit trail are the same. Built-in agents run inside Arfiti and do not depend on which assistant you use.

What is the difference between asking ChatGPT and running an agent?

The same tools and rules. Asking ChatGPT is interactive, with you in the conversation. An agent runs the same logic on a schedule or an event, with its own role and scope, and leaves a session you can open.
